Music Lover's Guide to Record Collecting

Collecting
Vinyl
Examples
of collectible records:
Sun Records - Featured Elvis Presley with
the "Memphis sound", as well as Carl Perkins and
others. This label released mostly 45's(singles), and 12 Albums
from 1956-1965
Sub
Pop Records - A label from Seattle starting in the
late 80's. Some of the bands were: Nirvana, The Fluid, Codeine,
and Green Magnet School. Famous for their "Singles Club"
series which you had to pre-pay to receive 2 records every
other month. These are highly collectible because many were
in pressings of 2,000 or less, on colored vinyl with cool
fold out covers. The good old days of getting NEW vinyl records
in the mail!
